Seasons Greetings

From everyone in the Wellbeing Team we would like to wish the Wirreanda community a very Merry Christmas.
We hope that you are surrounded by those you love and have a very safe festive period.

The Wirreanda Learner Wellbeing Centre Facebook page has been established, you can get in contact with the Wellbeing Team should something arise and they can point you in the right direction.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank the dedicated Wellbeing Team for all they do each day to ensure the wellbeing of the students within our community.

We thank Peter Norde, Gabrielle Rinaldi and Ralf Pirone for their work in the LWC and genuine compassion, dedication and empathy for students in their role as student counsellor in 2016.

Wellbeing Packages – Giving Back to our Community

Today the Wellbeing Team worked with students to prepare food parcels for local families for Christmas.
An important life lesson we like to instill in our students is the act of giving and the rewards that come from helping others . Today we spoke about the fact that no matter how tough you think your life is there’s always someone who has to face challenges that are even tougher than yours.
Giving back is where you give, and then nothing happens. No benefits for you, no recognition, nothing tangible gets sent your way. Your biggest and sole reward is the realization that you’ve made a significant change in someone’s life. And if not “significant” then a positive change nevertheless.
Volunteering and giving back not only builds stronger communities but improves your emotional and physical health at the same time.
Today we experienced the wellbeing that comes from helping our Wirreanda Community.
