National Youth Week

National Youth Week is an annual, week-long celebration of young people (aged 12–25) throughout Australia. It is a joint initiative of the Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments. It gives young people an opportunity to express ideas and views, and act on issues that affect their lives. As part of National Youth Week (theme: My community is your community ) we held a lunchtime celebration with DJ Menzies playing ” Amazing ” tunes , James giving out wrist bands and our community coming together to celebrate the day. We sold cupcakes to help fundraise for our Cambodia project! Our community yet again pulled together and donations of cupcakes from our generous community flowed through the doors of the LWC , yet again demonstrating that Wirreanda embraces the community theme . Huge thank you to all who selflessly donated and gave generously to assist our students assist others in need!
