25 very fatigued people landed at Siem Reap tonight. With most families arriving by 5.45 am at the airport, it has been a very long day of travelling. This morning as I welcomed students and families, what was abundantly clear was that the hundreds of hours of planning, preparation and fundraising were all worth it.
Ms Fishpool came to wish us all well on our travels, which was much appreciated, it reiterated how proud the students feel to be representing Wirreanda Secondary School abroad.
As we landed in Siem Reap the excitement of all involved was apparent.
Students have already experienced cultural differences in their short time here. We look forward to going to the school tomorrow and beginning the process of building the kindergarten and teaching the students.
Thank you to family, friends and the Wirreanda community for getting us here.
